Together we’re shaping the future of logistics and transport

Save the World Webinars (Facilities).jpg

We will be discussing:

  • Singapore is one of the world's top logistics hub in terms of volumes, as well as a leader in logistical services.  How can our leadership for sustainable warehousing and facility operations contribute to a GREEN Singapore – and a GREEN World?

  • Under Singapore's Green Plan 2030, with targets for “clean buildings”, quadrupled solar energy deployment and elimination of older refrigerants, logistics as a major industry will be a key partner.   What is required from a facility point of view to go forward?

  • Hear from DB Schenker and Sagacity on their extensive experience of building and running operations with efficiency in mind. How do they do it? What are some of the methods?

  • Hear from Sembcorp on their abilities and plans to change simple rooftops into power generating facilities for the community.

Key Takeaways

  • Sustainability is a journey – ROI can be long-term, but it is critical to get started.

  • Customer demands and investment plays a huge role in how that journey moves forward for contract logistics. They have to be a driver in many respects.

  • To build green can be complex – from the design phase all should be looked at – even the building materials that you use.

  • If you have older facilities – look into retrofitting options to bring in efficiencies and reduce emissions.

  • Our industry needs to lead, don’t wait to be forced by other institutions.

  • Options that Sembcorp can offer to help partners go Green.

  • Solarizing – key points to note and how to ensure the reliability and performance of their systems.
